The Horseman: Directors Cut (2008) (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

The Horseman Blu-ray presents the newly restored Director’s Cut of Steven Kastrissios’s award-winning Australian revenge thriller. Recut, recoloured, remixed and rebuilt from a 4K transfer, this never-before-seen version deepens the psychological intensity of a modern Aussie cult classic — and also includes the original theatrical cut.

After learning of his daughter’s suspicious death, Christian (Peter Marshall) receives a chilling video that may document her final hours. Determined to uncover the truth, he drives across north Queensland tracking down those responsible. Along the way, he reluctantly picks up runaway Alice (Caroline Marohasy), forming an uneasy bond as his search for answers turns into brutal retribution.

Unflinching and emotionally raw, The Horseman blends grief, vengeance and Australian noir into a relentless descent that leaves a bloody trail in its wake.
