The House Of Lost Souls [Blu-ray]

The House Of Lost Souls Blu-ray delivers a wild, blood-soaked haunted house nightmare from Italian genre master Umberto Lenzi. When a group of young geologists become stranded by torrential rain, they seek shelter in a decaying hotel cut off from the outside world. What should be a temporary refuge quickly becomes a death trap as the building awakens with vengeful spirits determined to punish the living.

Directed by Umberto Lenzi, the film embraces pure late-1980s Italian horror excess, piling atmosphere and absurdity into a relentless barrage of supernatural chaos. Skeletons, tarantulas, fire, demonic forces, and flying decapitations collide with slashers, killer household appliances, and gothic mayhem, creating an anything-goes experience that never slows down. Anchored by an energetic cast and driven by an electrifying score from Claudio Simonetti, the film stands as one of Lenzi’s most unrestrained genre exercises.

Restored from the original negative, this Blu-ray edition presents the film in high definition for the first time in the U.S., supported by an excellent slate of interviews, commentaries, and archival material that explore Lenzi’s career and the film’s place within Italian horror history.
