The Image Revolution [Blu-ray]

The Image Revolution Blu-ray chronicles one of the most significant upheavals in modern comics history, capturing the moment when creators seized control of their work and reshaped the industry. Directed by Patrick Meaney, the documentary traces the rise of Image Comics and its lasting impact on pop culture, publishing, and creator rights.

In the early 1990s, a group of superstar artists walked away from Marvel Comics to form Image Comics, a company built on the radical idea that creators should own their creations. What followed was explosive success, internal conflict, and near collapse during the comics market crash, before Image reemerged with a new generation of influential titles such as The Walking Dead. Through candid interviews and archival material, the film explores both the triumphs and growing pains of this creative revolution.

Featuring firsthand accounts from Image founders and key figures, The Image Revolution is both a historical document and an inspiration for artists across mediums. ETR Media presents the film on Blu-ray with expanded bonus content and a limited edition slipcover.
