The Japanese Godfather Trilogy [Limited Edition] [Blu-ray]

The Japanese Godfather Trilogy Blu-ray collects Sadao Nakajima’s sweeping yakuza epic in a limited edition set that chronicles the transformation of organised crime in postwar Japan. Set at the dawn of the 1970s, the trilogy charts the rise of the Nakajima syndicate as Japan emerges as an economic superpower, exposing the uneasy alliance between crime, politics, and corporate power. Drawing from the true history of Japan’s largest crime organisation, these films depict the internal fractures between tradition and modernisation that threaten to tear the syndicate apart. Featuring an extraordinary ensemble cast including Koji Tsuruta, Bunta Sugawara, Sonny Chiba, and Toshiro Mifune, this trilogy stands as one of Toei’s most ambitious and authoritative statements on the yakuza genre.
