The Last Island [Blu-ray]

The Last Island Blu-ray presents a stark, speculative drama about survival, morality, and the fragile future of humanity. After an airplane crash, five men and two women find themselves stranded and seemingly alone after a global catastrophe. With no contact from the outside world, the group begins to confront a terrifying question: if they truly are the last survivors, is humanity capable of starting anew — or doomed to repeat the same cycles of destruction?

Produced by Laurens Geels and Dick Maas (Amsterdamned, The Lift), and featuring an international cast including Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Shelagh McLeod, Kenneth Colley (The Empire Strikes Back), and Patricia Hayes (Willow), The Last Island forms the third film in Marleen Gorris’ informal thematic trilogy. Cold, philosophical, and quietly unsettling, the film explores power dynamics, gender, and ethical responsibility at the edge of extinction. Cult Epics presents The Last Island Blu-ray in a newly restored HD edition with extensive bonus features.
