The Monster Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Luigi Zampa’s 1977 satirical giallo, restored in 2K from the original negative by Radiance Films. Blending murder mystery, media satire and social commentary, the film examines ambition, sensationalism and the uneasy relationship between crime and the press.
Valerio is a struggling reporter with a failed marriage, a distant son and deep frustration with his place in the world. When a serial killer begins sending announcements to the newspaper before carrying out a series of murders, Valerio sees the story as the opportunity he has been waiting for.
As he uses the case to raise his profile and improve his standing, Valerio risks drawing himself dangerously close to the killer. Written by Sergio Donati and featuring a score by Ennio Morricone, The Monster arrives on home video for the first time outside Italy in this Radiance Films limited edition.
