The Plaga Zombie Trilogy [Blu-ray]

The Plaga Zombie Trilogy Blu-ray brings together the complete DIY horror saga for the first time ever in a definitive two-disc set. Created in 1997 by teenage Buenos Aires filmmakers Pablo Parés and Hernán Sáez with a budget of just $450, the original Plaga Zombie exploded onto the underground scene with shot-on-VHS carnage, DIY ingenuity, and an unapologetic love of splatter that earned instant cult status worldwide. Over the next two decades, Parés, Sáez, and their collaborators expanded the saga with two increasingly ambitious and gore-soaked sequels, cementing their reputation as pioneers of contemporary Argentinian horror. Remastered and upscaled to HD by the filmmakers themselves, The Plaga Zombie Trilogy Blu-ray celebrates the raw creativity, passion, and excess that influenced a generation of Latin American genre filmmakers, and includes an all-new documentary and extensive extras honoring the legacy of this legendary zombie epic.
