The Protector 4K Ultra HD delivers a definitive presentation of Jackie Chan’s hard-edged international action thriller, restored from the original 35mm camera negatives and presented across multiple cuts. Blending Hong Kong action intensity with American crime cinema, the film captures a transitional moment in Chan’s career as he navigated global stardom.

After the daughter of a wealthy businessman is kidnapped, New York City detectives Billy Wong and Danny Garoni are sent to Hong Kong to follow the trail. Their investigation quickly runs afoul of both corrupt local authorities and ruthless crime lord Harold Ko, forcing the pair into increasingly dangerous territory as they attempt to dismantle a sprawling drug empire.

This deluxe limited edition from 88 Films assembles all major versions of the film, including Jackie Chan’s personal Hong Kong edit, with extensive bonus features and premium packaging, offering the most comprehensive home release of the film to date.
