The Straight Story (UK Import) [4K Ultra HD]

The Straight Story 4K Ultra HD presents David Lynch’s deeply moving and understated road drama starring Richard Farnsworth, Sissy Spacek and Harry Dean Stanton.

Based on a true story, the film follows elderly Iowa farmer Alvin Straight (Richard Farnsworth), who sets out on an extraordinary journey across America’s Midwest after learning his estranged brother has suffered a stroke. Unable to drive and determined to make the trip on his own terms, Alvin travels hundreds of miles aboard a small John Deere riding lawn mower.

Along the way, Alvin encounters a series of strangers and shares hard-earned wisdom drawn from a lifetime of experience. Through simple conversations and quiet moments of connection, his slow-moving journey becomes a poignant meditation on family, regret, aging and reconciliation.

One of David Lynch’s most heartfelt and accessible films, The Straight Story trades surrealism for sincerity while retaining the emotional depth and humanity that define his best work.
