The Ugly Stepsister 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Emilie Blichfeldt’s 2025 body-horror fairy tale in its North American disc premiere from Severin Films. In this grisly reinterpretation of Cinderella, Lea Myren stars as a young woman willing to endure increasingly brutal cosmetic extremes to win the attention of a less-than-charming prince.

Set in a kingdom where beauty is pain and cruelty is built into the fantasy, The Ugly Stepsister twists familiar fairy-tale imagery into something grotesque, surreal and sharply satirical. Blending black comedy, period fantasy and body horror, the film turns the idea of “happily ever after” into something far darker.

Stunning audiences at Sundance and earning major awards attention for its makeup and hairstyling, The Ugly Stepsister marks a bold debut from writer/director Emilie Blichfeldt. This 2-disc edition includes the film on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, with 6+ hours of special features including two commentaries, cast and crew interviews, effects featurettes, a deleted scene and two short films by Blichfeldt.
