The Wild Child Limited Edition (UK Import) [Region B Blu-ray]

The Wild Child Blu-ray presents François Truffaut’s moving true-story drama about education, compassion, and human connection. Set in 1798, the film follows the discovery of a feral boy living alone in the forests of France. Unable to speak, read, or write, the child is taken in by Dr. Jean Itard (played by Truffaut himself), who becomes determined to integrate him into society through patience, care, and experimental teaching methods.

Shot in luminous black and white by Néstor Almendros, The Wild Child blends scientific inquiry with emotional intimacy, offering a profound meditation on language, identity, and what it means to belong. Featuring one of Truffaut’s most personal performances, the film remains a cornerstone of his humanist cinema.
