Theeb Limited Edition [Blu-ray]

Theeb LE Blu-ray is a remarkable coming-of-age adventure that blends the traditions of the western with the history and culture of the Bedouin people. Set against the vast deserts of the Arabian Peninsula during the final years of the Ottoman Empire, Naji Abu Nowar's acclaimed debut captures both the beauty and danger of a rapidly changing world through the eyes of a young boy forced to grow up far too quickly.

When his older brother agrees to guide a British officer and his companion across a perilous stretch of desert, young Theeb secretly follows behind, eager for adventure. What begins as a youthful act of curiosity soon becomes a desperate fight for survival as he finds himself alone amidst war, betrayal and shifting allegiances. Faced with harsh landscapes and even harsher realities, Theeb must rely on his instincts to navigate a world where childhood innocence offers little protection.

Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Theeb earned international acclaim for its authentic performances, breathtaking cinematography and unique perspective on a rarely explored chapter of Middle Eastern history. Both an intimate character study and a gripping survival tale, it remains one of the most celebrated independent films of its era.
