Robert Young takes a morally compromised role as a married man whose comfortable life depends on his wealthy wife. He pursues another woman, abandons her, and leaves with a different lover. Returning home, he intends to murder his wife and take her money, but unexpected turns put his own life in danger.
Rita Johnson plays the wife, with Jane Greer and Susan Hayward as the other women. Irving Pichel directs Jonathan Latimer’s screenplay, with Gordon McDonell also receiving a writing credit. This Blu-ray presents the restored 95-minute version of the film.
