Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except Blu-ray + DVD brings Josh Becker’s 1985 cult action-horror film to a new 2K high-definition restoration from the original negative. Made by members of the Michigan filmmaking circle behind The Evil Dead, this gritty revenge thriller features early work from Bruce Campbell, Scott Spiegel, Joseph LoDuca, Ted Raimi and Sam Raimi.
In Vietnam, Marine Sergeant Jack Stryker is badly wounded and sent home from the war. Trying to rebuild his life, he soon discovers that his ex-girlfriend has been taken by a violent religious cult led by a dangerous Manson-like figure.
With help from his fellow Marines, Stryker sets out to rescue her and confront the cult before more people are harmed. Directed by Josh Becker and co-written by Bruce Campbell, Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except is a rough-edged cult favourite packed with regional filmmaking energy, low-budget intensity and deep ties to the Evil Dead creative team.
