Tunnel Vision [Blu-ray]

Tunnel Vision Blu-ray presents a ferocious, anything-goes sketch comedy cult classic that skewers American television, censorship, and mass media excess with relentless irreverence. Framed as a government hearing investigating a controversial new TV network called TunnelVision, the film unfolds as a nonstop barrage of parody programming, fake commercials, news segments, and shock sketches designed to push every conceivable boundary.

Directed by Neal Israel and Brad Swirnoff, and produced by Joe Roth, Tunnel Vision channels the anarchic spirit of The Kentucky Fried Movie and Amazon Women on the Moon, blending satirical social commentary with outrageous visual gags and absurdist humour. The film features an all-star ensemble of comic performers and cameos, including Chevy Chase, John Candy, Al Franken, Laraine Newman, Howard Hesseman, Ron Silver, and Lynne Marie Stewart, each contributing to the film’s chaotic late-night-TV energy.

Originally released in 1976 and screened in theatres and drive-ins, Tunnel Vision stands as a time capsule of countercultural comedy and pre-cable television anxiety. This Collector’s Edition Blu-ray marks the film’s first-ever release on Blu-ray, featuring a brand new 4K transfer and an extensive slate of archival and newly produced extras that celebrate its cult legacy.
