Une femme douce Limited Edition Blu-ray presents Robert Bresson’s stark and deeply affecting chamber drama, a restrained yet devastating exploration of love, control and emotional distance.

Following the sudden death of his wife, a Parisian pawnbroker reflects on their relationship through fragmented memories, attempting to understand the quiet unraveling that led to tragedy. Told through Bresson’s signature minimalist style, the film strips away conventional melodrama in favour of precise, introspective storytelling that examines the fragile dynamics between two people.

Adapted from Fyodor Dostoyevsky and anchored by Dominique Sanda’s breakthrough performance, Une femme douce stands as one of Bresson’s most intimate and emotionally resonant works.
