Uzumaki AKA Spiral (2000) (Australian Import) [Blu-ray]

Uzumaki AKA Spiral Blu-ray brings Junji Ito’s legendary horror manga to life in a surreal and deeply unsettling descent into obsession, madness and body horror.

In the isolated seaside town of Kurôzu, residents become consumed by strange spiral patterns appearing throughout their daily lives. As bizarre mutations, psychological breakdowns and horrifying phenomena intensify, schoolgirl Kirie and her friend Shuichi struggle to escape a curse that seems to infect the entire town. Directed by Higuchinsky, Uzumaki transforms Junji Ito’s iconic manga into a hypnotic nightmare filled with grotesque imagery, eerie humour and dreamlike terror.
