What Happened Was... Blu-ray presents Tom Noonan’s landmark American indie drama, newly restored in 4K and released on UK home video for the first time. After months of workplace flirtation, co-workers Jackie and Michael agree to a first date at her New York apartment. What begins as awkward banter slowly transforms into an emotionally raw confrontation, as layers of insecurity, loneliness and buried trauma surface over the course of a long night.
Winner of the Sundance Jury Prize in 1994, What Happened Was... is anchored by two extraordinary performances from Karen Sillas and Tom Noonan, delivering a darkly funny and painfully honest portrait of modern intimacy.
