Hundreds of hours of restored 16mm material form a portrait of a surfing community that travelled along the Australian coast in search of a different way of life. Set to a soundscape by Headland, the film returns to rarely seen camera reels to explore the freedom, memories and choices preserved in those images. It asks what remains worth carrying forward and what belongs to the past.
