Your Life is on the Line!: A Joe Christ Anthology [Blu-ray]

Your Life is on the Line!: A Joe Christ Anthology Blu-ray assembles the first volume of punk musician–turned–transgressive filmmaker Joe Christ’s complete filmography, capturing a confrontational vision of late-1980s and early-1990s American underground cinema. This special limited edition slipcover, designed by Oliver Costes, is limited to 1,000 units. Combining the gross-out provocations of early John Waters with the abrasive shock aesthetics of Nick Zedd, Christ used shot-on-video filmmaking as a weapon against taste, restraint, and moral comfort. Across five films, this anthology presents a nihilistic worldview populated by exploitation, paranoia, abuse, and self-destruction, offering a disturbing portrait of white-trash America teetering on the edge of psychosis. Saturn’s Core and OCN Distribution exhume these rarely seen works as a defining document of SOV extremity and underground rebellion.
